Cate is responsible for founding and developing the new business model at TKT. A wearer of many hats, it’s Cate’s in-the-trenches approach and extensive understanding of the digital and broadcast space that makes her such an invaluable partner.
After earning her Bachelor of Design in Visual Communications at UTS in 2004, she spent a year at Central Saint Martin’s studying Typography under the great Phil Baines. Realising her talent in that capacity was questionable, Cate instead set her sights on advertising. She then spent five action-packed years at one of Australia’s most respected ad agencies, The Campaign Palace, creating award-winning work for clients like 3 Mobile, Nokia, Berlei, Selleys and Meat & Livestock Australia.
A desire to create truly breakthrough strategies and creative work led her to Clemenger BBDO in 2010 where she was responsible for launching Visa’s ‘money you can’t lose’ platform, breaking 5 world records in a month for Dry July, running the Clemenger Group Grad program and making celebrity chef Manu sell out.
As a firm believer that brands should create marketing that people want, Cate has led clients beyond traditional marketing and into content creation (programming, filmmaking, publishing), new product development and social causes, often for the first time. Since founding TKT in 2015, Cate has become the heart and soul of the agency while leading an impressive list of clients including Campbell Arnott’s and Frucor Beverages.
While not at TKT, you can find Cate singing up a storm (she believes she’s the next Adele but her friends say no [haters]).
